Alberta Government Launches Challenge
(October 27, 2003 - AgriWeek) The Alberta
government is launching its own challenge under NAFTA to the US
International Trade Commission's Oct. 3 decision confirming the 14.1% duty
on non-durum wheat imports.
The basis of the action will be the method used by the Commerce
Department in determining that use of government rail cars is a subsidy to
producers.
The Alberta government owns 1,000 cars. |
